- Arrive by 9:15 am, and be ready to record attendance in Elvanto.
- As ‘directors of first impressions,’ greet everyone with a warm and friendly smile and voice. Focus on your ministry of hospitality to all by not getting distracted nor getting involved in protracted conversations with any single person.
- For guests and visitors, invite them to complete the online guest form by scanning the QR Code. Provide them with introductory material on the church, inform them of where the facilities are, ask whether they are joining the English or Mandarin speaking gathering, and usher them to their seats in the Chapel.
- Ensure 3 back rows are roped off. Usher people fill front seats first and sit at the furthest end of the row so those coming later have seats. The 3 back rows are to be reserved for elderly, disabled, parents with children and pregnant women.
- Welcome guest speakers, if any, and ask them if they require any beverages. Usher them to their seats.
- During the closing response song and before the benediction, stand near the staircase leading to the basement and direct everyone to morning tea downstairs in the large hall. As part of your service you will necessarily be one of the last servants to go down to morning tea.
